Plan Space for the Hat and Scarf

A single snowman is easy to place beside a short greeting. Two snowmen or a building scene need a wider card, and a long broom can extend beyond the body. Look at the whole preview rather than choosing only by the face: the hat brim, arms and scarf determine the usable outline.

For a winter window, keep separate masks for the snowman and any snowflakes around it. Let each pass dry enough before moving the next sheet over it. The white gaps around buttons and the nose are retained material; leave their bridges attached. A larger proof helps with outlined characters, while a broad body silhouette gives you fewer small cuts.

Choosing Your Snowman Stencils

Check the carrot nose, scarf ends, broom handle and buttons on your proof. Those details become more fragile sooner than the broad snowball body when the pattern is reduced.

Download, Print and Cut at the Right Size

Choose A4 or US Letter and download the PDF directly. No account is needed for these library files. Each PDF places the pattern in a 150 mm square and includes a 25 mm test line. Choose “Actual size” or 100% in your print dialog, and measure the line before transferring the design. Black areas are the cutouts; white areas are kept.

The PNG is 2100 × 2100 pixels. For another size, open the pattern in the editor. Your first edited PNG or PDF on this browser needs no signup, up to three layers and one page per layer. Saving and further edited downloads need a free account. Vector export and full-size tiled printing are Pro features; see the plans page for available upgrades.

SUPPORT

Frequently Asked Questions

Will every snowman fit a small gift tag?

Not at the same scale. Full scenes, brooms and paired figures need more space than a single snowman. Print a proof, inspect the smallest face and scarf details, and resize the exact pattern in the editor if needed.

Can I download these stencil templates without an account?

Yes. The library PNG and A4 or US Letter PDF files download directly without an account. Editing is free. Your first edited PNG or PDF on this browser needs no signup; saving or further downloads need a free account.

Which parts of the stencil do I cut away?

Cut the black areas and keep the white material, including the small bridge connections. Print at 100% or Actual size and measure the 25 mm test line before cutting. Test fragile details in your chosen material.

Can I use these templates commercially?

Yes. The library contains independently drawn StencilMaker.app patterns and adapted public-domain artwork. These template artworks are free for personal and commercial projects. Source and creator credits appear with adapted templates. This permission does not grant rights to third-party artwork or StencilMaker.app branding. Read the template permission.
