Keep the Manger Scene Readable

For a compact card, start with a simple manger and family rather than a scene filled with buildings and visitors. A stable outline frames the figures; a scene without that frame leaves more room for your own greeting. Individual figures let you plan a wider arrangement, but they need a shared baseline so they look like one scene.

Print a paper proof and check the open space around the infant and between the adults. Narrow gaps can disappear when a design is reduced. Tape a painting mask securely and apply light passes, especially beside the roof and star. These are decorative illustrations, not an assembly plan for a freestanding nativity set. Add a separate angel or use a Christmas tree for a companion card.

Choosing Your Nativity Stencils

Proof the space around the baby, parents and stable roof before cutting. A full scene needs more width than a single figure. Keep the narrow white gaps between neighbouring silhouettes connected.

Download, Print and Cut at the Right Size

Choose A4 or US Letter and download the PDF directly. No account is needed for these library files. Each PDF places the pattern in a 150 mm square and includes a 25 mm test line. Choose “Actual size” or 100% in your print dialog, and measure the line before transferring the design. Black areas are the cutouts; white areas are kept.

The PNG is 2100 × 2100 pixels. For another size, open the pattern in the editor. Your first edited PNG or PDF on this browser needs no signup, up to three layers and one page per layer. Saving and further edited downloads need a free account. Vector export and full-size tiled printing are Pro features; see the plans page for available upgrades.
